A little happiness for the Katara family

Nitish Katara, a young man of 25 was brutally killed in 2002. He was kidnapped and then burned to death only because he committed the sin of falling in love with a powerful man’s daughter.

Imagine the plight of his mother. The torture that woman must have gone through when she saw the burned body of her son.

Neelam Katara, Nitish’s mom wiped her tears and faught courageously to find justice for her deceased son. In the process she helped and inspired many more.

Today, I am happy for her. Finally after 14 years the Supreme court has ruled that the convicts Vikas and Vishal Yadav will have to undergo 25 years of imprisonment.

She sure won’t get her son back, but she has proved that a mother’s might can move mountains. I am sorry for your loss but I am also very proud of you ma’am. May the strength be with you.
